Makes sense to me. We do have remnants of high tech lying around all over the world. One hypothesis is diffusion of a single large global civilization that fell apart and some of their more durable constructions like iron pillars that don’t rust remain, while they disappeared.

Probably that Michelangelo guy they hired to do the ceiling.

Sad to think how much more advanced the world would be today if it hadn’t been for religious fanatics basically banning science for centuries. Sadder to think that it still goes on today.

Just happens, all the time. Star Trek had an episode that presupposed that a race of dinosaurs reached intelligence, technological advancement and civilization, and went off to the stars, just before the meteor hit 65 million years ago. Those who stayed on Earth … the rest, as they say, is history. And who can say they’re wrong?

Agree on the contractors, with one exception. The current one is a jewel. He and crew worth every penny. Correcting many past botches. Once in a milennia one good person appears and restores hope in mankind, if not in contractors.

Must be located in Florida; never had so many contractor ‘issues’ as we’ve had here.
