Goose stepping, goosebumps. I’m eagerly awaiting a cartoon about Gander Mountain.
Naturally, I looked up where goosebumps comes from. “So called because the rough condition of the skin during the sensation resembles the skin of a plucked goose”. Yep, that’s us, plucked geese.
Unfortunately the humor is reduced for me because I listened to a radio game show dealing in trivia earlier today. (The Unbelievable Truth. A British program.) One thing mentioned was writing quills came from the goose wings. Pens for right-handers from the right wing, left-handers from the left wing. Has to do with the way the feather curves. Didn’t want to obscure your vision while writing.
