can cause hyponatremia, or water intoxication, and even kill a person.
Even if they were marching 10 hours a day, sweating in the heat….
six gallons would be extreme.
Spaced evenly over 24 hours, a quart an hour, it’s still near the limit human kidneys can process.
Back in the sixties hydration was considered to be something you trained to do without. Our football coach forbid any water during practices.
I thought BD’s rank was higher than corporal?
By the 2nd Iraq war he was the oldest 1st Lt. in military history.
In the hottest weather, active troops in Iraq drank a gallon to a gallon and a half per day.
