Sometimes investing is like gambling. When I was delivering newspapers, I had a co-worker who was a commodity broker who lost money on his investments.
If you don’t waste money on new cloths, newspapers and razors etc. then maybe you could be rich as well ;) – a couple of people I have known who wee rich would walk around in scruffy work cloths as they weren’t ashamed of how they acquired their money while they carried on working
My sister’s first husband. He dresses in clothes a homeless person wouldn’t wear. He goes to fast food places and eats ketchup! One time somebody came up and laid some money on the table beside him. He’s probably rich; he hasn’t spend a dime in years.
Someone once told me, the late-Sam Walton, of Wal-Mart fame, was “notorious” for dressing-down into VERY-casual clothes, driving up to a random Wal-Mart in a beat-up truck, and then buying some penny-ante merchandise—-just to make-certain there was NO-prejudice in his stores—-monetary or otherwise…
