The window is smashed, water has flooded in, the car is sinking, yet not only do they keep talking, but Thick continues with the insults.

I was going to ask how Thick could find the surface, but his empty skull is the most bouyant object available. It’s almost surprising the car could sink with it aboard.

And Thick loosened the chains so thoroughly that the handcuffs vanished with them.

That broken side window opening seems to have enlarged considerably.

Oh, and let’s not overlook that extraneous comma in Mordred’s last word balloon. Call me optimistic, but his words should read “I’ll drown Tracy!”

Power Approach.

You’d think it would be kind of dark down there.

Nah, it’s Locher Land, nothing occurs as it would really happen.

barticle35, it’s impossible to keep up with all the impossibilities here.

Is this how Thick will die? So stupid that he doesn’t realize he’s drowning? Or will Locher save him by having the word balloons float him to the surface?

When they emerge, Spacy will have the chains on him and Mordred will take off the mask to reveal that he is actually David Copperfield.

Mordred should be really afraid, Tracy said “I’ll guide you to the surface” Tracy doesn’t know up from down.

Also, another guess:

Mordred is Shelly Winters and this is a remake of “The poseidon Adventure”

Mordred is the most hated criminal in the world, so just let him drown

Saving him, is like giving a death row inmate a couple more days to live to get well because he has the flu on the day of execution.

Are we headed for a treacly moment–okay, month–where Mordred tries to kill Thick underwater, and leaves him to drown, then suddenly flip-flops and saves Thick? Because, gosh dang it, until now no one has cared enough about Mordred to risk their life for him?

I’m half surprised that Mordred isn’t screaming at Thick to get away from him. Personally, after a stunt like the one Tracy pulled to get into this mess in the first place he’s the last one I’d trust to save me. The guy’s a complete doofus.

And so the Executive branch of the government supplants the Judicial branch.

Just like far-right-wing Locher salivates over.

If Tracy is Locher’s idea of the best the executive branch can produce, we’re in a lot of trouble in Locherland.

I’ve thought for a long time now that Locher hates cops, and will spare no ink making them look bad. Tracy has been drawn to be a coward and now an ignorant doofus when it comes to driving into water. The rest of the Napperville police department is pretty much there for window dressing. Even when a murder was done right in front of them they did nothing. So, if Locher wants us to think the executive branch, as represented by the police, are the great saviors for the United States this comic wants some ‘splainin’

That’s one heck of a puddle he drove through.

Don’t be surprised if Locher retcons the “flooded intersection” into a river and the “power approach” into Mordred’s interference with Thick’s driving.

So Spacey’s gonna shove Mordred through the jagged broken glass to get him out of the car? Apparently ol’ Thick was asleep the day they did the “car in the water survival” class at POLICE HOOTERS. The proper thing to do is wait for pressure to equalize and then open the door. You run a real risk of getting slashed up and stuck if you try to exit through the window–even if you’re not wearing 40 pounds of chains.

My prediction: one of ‘em is going to suck water, and the other’s going to have to perform mouth-to-mouth. I’m just not sure who’s going to be doing whom…

Honestly, this has just gotten so stupid it’s not even fun to make fun of it any more.

I’m trying to imagine a flooded intersection with water that deep. Appears to be six feet or more. What happened to the two policemen that were stopping cars?

I’d love to hear Locher’s explanation of WHY he produces this kind of bleep. The entertainment it produces isn’t exactly what is desired, but it keeps us around! He needs to read Slylock Fox awhile and he’d learn something about logic.

Like so many others here, I’m looking forward to BB’s next chapter!

Panel 3: Are we 15 feet (5 meters) or more deep in a flooded intersection and those are bubbles rising from the sunken car?

Or have we fallen through a hole all the way to China and we’re seeing stars in the night sky? It’s night in China, and it probably isn’t raining there….

I love the whitecaps INSIDE the car.

The name of the car is the “Minnow” and this was only to be a one hour drive. Maybe they will end up on some uncharted island, never to be heard from again. Can we hope for this?

years from now those two crazy kids will look back fondly at the night they met and remember the first time they held hands…

“I’ll guide you to the surface.”. Let’s see now. Spacy is talking in an air pocket. I wonder if the air pocket would be UP or DOWN.

Newenglandah, with Locher you have your choice, and then some. In a week or two we’ll learn that Mordred caused the crash, or that a flood washed out a bridge over a swamp, or something equally plausible. We’ll never learn Mordred’s view because he’ll have died from something ironic.
