We had a foot of snow Dec 26. Dec 27 started school vacation. You never saw two more disappointed kids. Like getting sick in summer.

My mother used to tell me that if I ever had kids, she hoped they’d turn out like Calvin. I told her that would be better than having boring kids.

The solar “snow plow” is always efficient, eventually. The bigger problem than snow is a thaw, then the re-freezing to ice that puts you down.

Does anyone remember an old Peanuts strip from the ’60s? Charlie Brown and Linus were discussing their prospects upon becoming adults. Linus asks Charlie when he’ll turn 21. Charlie Brown works it out, then looks up is an expression of doom and gloom and says, “1984!”

@freeholder1: Um, I guess you didn’t hear the allegations of DELIBERATE efforts by NYC sanitation workers to hamper snow removal progress. According to a whistleblower, it was meant as a protest of much-needed budget cuts. So in that case, left-wing public-service unions (not Tea Partiers) were to blame…allegedly.

Oh, how Danae must wish she could live in Chicago way back in the days before Jane Byrne!

Allegations? Oh, that’s right. If someone says something you like, it’s immediately become a proven fact. Come back a a couple years when they have the case finished, Junie. And I know way too many unionites who vote Republican cause they don’t know what’s good for them either.
