It’s a holiday so BC didn’t take the time to do all the fancy coloring he usually does so he just sketched out a comic like they did in the old days – and they was glad to get it.
sbferg 1 minute agoI remember telling my 50 year old grandma she wasn’t old she was an antique. She said she fealt antiquey. I turn 49 this November. I understand what she meant.
I wonder if Nelson will remember making that comment when he turns 70 or 80. But my favorite response to the remark about getting old was made by a gentleman on the celebration of his eighty-third birthday. Someone laughingly said to him, “getting old sucks, doesn’t it?” He thought for a moment then replied, in all seriousness, “No, not really. Being old sucks. But getting old was fun!” That may have been the most profound statement I’ve ever heard.

I looked a lot better back when girls in my class went out of their way to put me down than I do now.

On looking in the mirror, I realize with horror that someone or something has stolen my true self and left an old woman behind.

Actually, the world was in B&W then, color wasn’t introduced until about 1967 as I recall.

I do like the colorist in this strip. It is beautifully done. When it isn’t there, you really miss it.

Nope, black and white. I have the pictures to prove it.
