Perhaps he will and, now that precedent has been established, will run for the Presidency.

When former students who had resembled Caulfield in the classroom returned to visit, some had only taken their talents to another level and were still young minded. Many others had grown into worker bees who enjoyed only very rare flights of youth. I was sorry to see their lights dimmed by the burdens of work and existence.

Growing old is mandatory, growing up isn’t.

Only if this strip goes ‘Gasoline Alley’ will Caulfield grow up.

Perhaps Caulfield will grow up to be a successful songwriter who moonlights as a janitor.

Sharp kick in the gut on her line. Far too many men of color don’t get to see old age. We lose too many future elderly African-American mentors of young men while they’re still too young themselves. (Grieving an old classmate as I type this.)
