Mom used to make cupcakes safe for travel in the days of waxed paper bags by cutting the tops off, frosting the remainders of the cupcakes, and putting the tops back on. I don’t know if she thought of that, but it was brill.
I don’t know why, but it always makes me chuckle whem children start crying over something silly. I mean, I empathize with them for sure, but it is just so cute sometimes.
Well, Alice’s portion is to do everything wrong (or at least badly, or badly AND wrong). It must be a frustrating existence, except for the bits where she’s blissfully unaware that things have gone wrong.
Soaring on heights of such anticipation, only to be dashed on the rocks below, life can be such a cruel friend Alice. I’m pretty sure a couple sweets and a sugar rush will restore her wings faster than that old rocking chair though.

You have to cover any topping with wax paper before anything else, unless you have one of those carrying covers with a detachable lid.

No harm, No foul. Just suck on the plastic wrap and get all the icing off.

My first thought was that Alice had been “tasting” the icing.

Today’s strip is one of the most realistic depictions of childhood I’ve ever seen. That’s not sarcasm.
