I’ve heard of winterizing your car and winterizing your house but never your yard.
Although, I remember my grandfather, before the onset winter, would lay down either cow manure, or composted horse manure, and sugar cane on the garden and lawn.
I lived in Southern California most of my life and never had to think about winterizing anything. Now that I’m in North Idaho, winterizing is a thing. I only have a few plants that need it and I’m seriously thinking about getting rid of those plants. Daylilies need to be cut back, roses need pruning and other things need mulch around them. Most of the plants make it through the winter without my help.

But Nietzsche is dead. Why chance coming across the one thing that does kill ya? Ya never know.

Whatever it is, if it does the job right the first time, it doesn’t have to come back.

Had a few that made a concerted effort. Barely escaped.

You did it right, Earl. If you are feeling tired, go in and take a rest. Of course, you need to go back when rested.

The burritos I had last night didn’t kill me, but they came back later to try.

Seen in a runners’ forum: Overtraining will not kill you. Overtraining will make you weaker.

Concussions can make you stronger? 3rd degree burns? Polio?

There’s something off about Earl’s mustache in panel one. It almost looks like he’s wearing a gag over his mouth.
