Brewster asks a valid question/makes a valid point.

The clowns voting for clowns: a further indication that no meddling is needed.

Before the 2016 election, someone said to me, “Donald Trump is the Democrats worst nightmare.”

I replied, “What, he’s a clown ?”

Turns out, I may be psychic!

Because the enemy will pick the clown that will divide the people.

Political parties are not government agencies, but private corporations that have assigned themselves the responsibility of selecting and campaigning people to available offices. They have no obligation to reply or react to the general public.

America has enemies? Huh.

Because whereas you may consider both clowns, to the enemy, one can be a “useful idiot”.

I hate it when cartoonists drag reality into my escapism!

Or…. the enemies meddled with the nomination process to get those people nominated…

I agree with (the late) Douglas Adams (paraphrased) – the last person you should put in an elected position is one who desperately wants it.

Agent X hit on it when he mentioned nominations. Mostly extremists vote in the primaries, so only extremist can get nominated. Anyone with a trace of moderate sense has no chance in the primaries. Example: Republican legislators who really didn’t want to take healthcare away from millions, were obliged to vote for it on multiple occasions or lose out in the next primary. That was a safe strategy when Obama was there to veto it, but Trump was ready to sign it. McCain knew there would be no next primary for him, and stepped into save their butts.

Cynicism is what fools use as a substitute for wisdom.

we don’t need the help of another country to screw up our elections….we are perfectly capable of doing it ourselves

I really wish you would leave politics out of the comics. I read them to get away for a little bit. If I wanted to read political comics I’d go to the political cartoons.
