I’m reminded of a scene in the 1960 movie ‘The Alamo’ when one of the defenders , knowing with certainty that everybody who does will die, announced that he couldn’t stay and fight and needed to take care of and be with his blind wife. The idiot wife spoke out and denounced him for being so selfish as to not fight to death for Texas liberty. Then the righteous music was played and the idiot stayed and died.
