Well some wanted a less edgy story……..lets spend a day with Chic in school. Later follow Wally as he operates machinery between coffee breaks. Then follow Kirbee as she housekeeps between soap reruns. Its Endtown…..things happen………………………Synchronicity II
I’m content to see a respite from the darker story lines and catching up with “Wally & Co.”. Seeing Wally in the mining hat has me curious as to what his job is and I’m not surprised that those living in the colony work to help support it. What Kirbee’s role in the colony is hasn’t been revealed yet. Amusing to see Chic grumble about school.
I wonder where Wally’s dittos are. They’ve sort-of bonded to him, so I don’t think that he could donate them to the colony to support their greater good. Also, what kind of hijinks would the dittos get up to to provide the emotional energy they need?
Didn’t Wally used to have a relationship with Holly at one point?
If anyone knows the dates for the strips where these 2 got together, I’d love to read them. I’m pretty sure I read them once, but it’s been a couple of years.
It took a while to develop. Some readers are still upset about it. They met in Unity, the town controlled by a particular type of lizard. Someone else will probably be more specific, but I’ll send you back to when they entered Unity: https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2014/04/16
Seems to be inspired from “Watership Down” by Richard Adams when the wild rabbits on the run are invited into a great warren by some local rabbits. The wild rabbits find out the local warren is run by a farmer who feeds and cares for them and occasional takes a rabbit to cook for meals. The local rabbits hope the farmer takes a newcomer for food instead of them.

Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s off to work and school we go while Kirbee gets to stay home and eat cookies.

Lizard lips!
And I am not sure about Kirbee being wiser…
In any case, Chic is a minor to miner Wally.
And where is Irving?

Have Kirbee and Wally been together long enough for this sort of relationship?

Why do I have an uneasy feeling that disaster is about to hit this perfect colony?
banjinshiju about 6 years ago
I wonder for what they are mining. Has this colony found a buried source of canned goods?

She’s older. I wasn’t too sure about “wiser.”

As NG49 notes above, domestic bliss is boring.
But what bothers me is, Wally and company are ready to set out on another life-threatening journey simply because they’re bored?

Huh, I can’t remember the last time the comic made me smile like this

Maybe Kirby should go to school with Chic. Set an example for him to follow.
