I swear, everything Puck does is adorable. Even just carrying a box of Christmas decorations! And that smile in the second panel! And then there’s Buzzy in the stocking! Also loving Elvis with the Santa hat. :D
And so it begins with an all new introduction. So many little details— Elvis’s Santa hat, Puck’s box of decorations, their festive mugs. The improved lighting makes the anchor desk and even better backdrop for the stockings. Buzzy looks so cute nestled in the middle stocking.
Not to those of us who have been around since the beginning. Please try really hard not to spoil anything for the newbies. I know it’s hard. I almost slipped and caught myself just in time.
I refused to watch Rudolph on CBS the other night. Last few times I watched it on network it was just too cut up for commercials. So I’ll just have to watch it on DVD and make my own merry that way. Already watched Miracle on 34th Street, talking the original with Natalie Wood, Maureen O’Hara, and Edmund Gwen in black and white. But that’s a Thanksgiving thing for us. Old family tradition, after Thanksgiving dinner we’d sit down to watch the movie as a way to say good-bye Thanksgiving, it is now officaly Christmas time. Although I may have to watch it again when I put up the tree. That or any number of Christmas movies.
“A Charley Brown Christmas” is still my favorite. Maybe someday we will have animated versions of the BCN Christmas specials, but only if they can match Georgia’s beautiful artwork. I would not want to see the characters as CGI.
And with Pucky’s merriness of his own making and declaration of the beginning of the this magical time of year, he heralds in the start of the Christmas Special! I say “heck yeah” to that!! Happy Caturday Mega Orbsters!! :D
Tre-C walked up to the fence and ever so softly pawed at the base of it, issuing a long, low “rrrrrrrrrow” as a prearranged invitation. From inside a small shed came a canine head startling in its dimensions. A matching body followed. “Hoooly…” Maxie was duly impressed and more than just a little scared; “Meg, if that dog doesn’t weigh 200lbs, I’m a Sphynx.” Megan tried not to stare as she approached. Stopping where Tre-C stood, she looked at Baywolf and in Human English said; “Good boy! Who’s my good boy?” The massive Husky jumped playfully at the fence and barked back; ”ME! Mmmme!” Megan drew a deep breath and slowly walked up to the fence. She poked her paw through the chain link and as he dipped his head to her she scratched the dog behind his ear. “You good boy, you beautiful good boy… I’ll bet you were a pup raised with a litter of kittens,” she thought. Then, she spoke to him, in Dog, with the knowledge that although he was likely smarter than any other dog, she wasn’t really sure of his level of understanding. “Baywolf, I’m going to tell you something. It’s a kind of story, but it’s all true and it involves you and your brothers everywhere. And it is not a happy story.”
Henceforth, whenever I see ropes of Christmas tinsel, I will think of it as Pucky’s boa! 8D What a sweet group of Christmas angels… Love their luscious looking holiday beverages, too.
A message from Georgia on Facebook. Today at 10 a.m. (PST) Etsy will be open including two originals! She says “Two original BCN Sundays WILL be up in the Etsy shop Some folks have already said I should keep all of my originals, and I do plan to keep many! (And at the moment, all of the original web strip pages). However, I love comic art myself. It’s exciting to me to be a part of it, if I possibly can. I love the idea of some of my strips going out into the world. I’ve priced them high enough that if they do sell, I will have no regrets. (And if they do not, I’ll be happy to keep them). There are currently no BCN strips out there. I have not even given any away. These will be the first two ever up for sale, and we’ll see how it goes”
Nobody else commented on Lupin’s expressions? Panel 3 is his usual joyful smile, which appears a lot because he’s always finding the happy side of things—but Panel 1 is exactly ‘curious and puzzled cat’. Usually shown when cat is bemused by the inexplicable humans.
Hey Maizing, Do panel 3 Puck for December, unless something better comes(Not bloody likely…), keep this for December! Much like I might keep this one https://share.icloud.com/photos/06UTRKkUPiWOrWrR0M6XOYH2g
This morning i have $805 in the campaign. If i get no more than that i will still be very pleased. That alone is a big, big help.
Just in case you missed the announcement yesterday, the dealership didn’t get to starting the work on the van. The person that called me yesterday afternoon to tell me said that they would get started on it Monday.
Good morning, everyone! In about 40 minutes at 10 am Pacific Time we’re going to open the Etsy shop to sell some original paintings (and two original Sunday strips!) Here is the link if you’d like to visit the shop! https://www.etsy.com/shop/GeorgiaDunnStudio It will be closed until 10, and so you will see a “this shop is closed” message until 10 am. Happy Saturday!
(sigh) please don’t hate me for saying this. I love this storyline… but have unfortunately read the earlier version of it too many times. I believe we have two more storylines before longtime readers get to new content. However this is a very sweet storyline, so new readers dig in – you’ll love it!
I’ve got a Buzzy Mouse which the cats don’t like—I think they’re afraid of it—but I’ve just decided that my Buzzy Mouse will sit in the stocking-top this year!
For those who don’t read Georgia’s Facebook page, good news. Goldie is now an official part of the family. Georgia wrote, “…Did I mention we have four cats now? The Man fell for Goldie too, he was the last hold out and for my birthday he welcomed her into the family!”
She posted some new pictures on her Instagram account.
I agree with Puck’s sentiment in Panel 2. I bought myself a poinsettia and a bunch of cut flowers the other day, and am enjoying them both immensely, despite the extravagance.
Apparently this is going to be a lovely month of Cats and Kids and Christmas with the People being allowed to have some fun also. Anticipating this series. It’s my birthday month after all, it has to be fun.
Well, I seem to have ended up with another dog, thanks to Dixie and her “rescue” tendencies. She brought Blackstone to meet me right after Thanksgiving. He’s a German shepherd (or, at least, a shepherd mix, but he looks pretty close to full blooded shepherd), and looks to be about 9-10 months old. He’s good with the cats, so far at least, and very friendly. Cain doesn’t like him too near me, but we’re making some progress there. Dixie actually let me scratch her back and took a cookie from my hand yesterday -huge progress for her – but I had to pet Blackstone first to prove to her that it was ok.
I wasn’t really planning to have four dogs, but, then again, I didn’t plan to have three dogs, either. He seems to be good for Dixie. She made him sleep between her & the door to her doghouse when it got really cold the other night. My girl’s no dummy, the one with the most hair gets to be the windbreak lol

For a lot of Christmas cheer – if you have your 2018 BCN calendar – check out the party scene. Uh-oh, looks as if Lupin’s gotten into some nipnog.

Love the color coordinated stockings – Elvis even gets stars! (I suppose a black stocking would be hard for Santa to see).

Happy Caturday, orbsters and orbabies. I hope the boys’ drinks are well spiked with ’nip in honour of the holiday season.
