I’m waiting for the day that there is a horror/slasher movie with “the elf on the shelf”! I’m 57 now but if that thing had been around when I was a kid, I would have been COMPLETELY freaked! I never gave much thought to Santa or the Tooth Fairy, or the Easter Bunny. I guess they seemed more benign in my mind!!

The dwarf is on a pier, not a wharf. A wharf is parallel to the shore and a pier is perpendicular to the shore. Perhaps this new definition of wharf is one of Kellyanne Conway’s alternate facts.
