Good morning and happy Tuesday/Bluesday, orbsters and orbabies. I think I’ll leave the heartthrob to you young’uns. I’m looking forward to see how the hostage/fake cheese exchange will work.

I am loving this Christmas story. We will get to see all of the cast of characters this month. What fun.

For those who don’t know, Kit is based on Patch from the soap Days of Our Lives a few decades ago. and he was hot too! not quite as hot as Bo, but still plenty hot! (I’m partial to dark haired men!)

Hey, guys!! I have a cat that has allergies and was chewing her fur to the point the vet said to have her wear t-shirts. Finally found out she had a skin condition and we were able to fix it with oatmeal baths. (Don’t worry, she loves her bath.) Anyway, I had gone a little crazy buying sweaters and shirts and hoodies. So, yesterday I was taking some food to the local shelter and took her wardrobe to donate. I wasn’t sure if they would accept. Boy, was I wrong!!! I was unaware of all the cold puppies and kitties. Please, if you want to do something wonderful, donate to your local shelter.

“Big screen TV” reminds me of the time shortly after my family gave me a Kindle for a birthday present. I developed a bad case of bronchitis a few weeks later, and my youngest had a bad respiratory virus as well…we would lay in bed together with the covers over our heads, watching movies on the Kindle, or as we dubbed it, “The World’s Smallest Drive-In”

Managed to get two of the younger cats from the colony in for surgery today. (I posted pics on Discord for anyone who wants to see them.) Stormi is a super sweet natured baby. (She’s Dee’s littermate.) She let me pick her up & slide her into the carrier without a bit of argument. Harmony, on the other hand, has her mother’s temper. I had to lure her in with a can of tuna flavored cat food, then close the door quick. (I took them yesterday for an overnight stay.) As soon as the door closed, she lost it! That carrier was bouncing everywhere. Fingers crossed that they do well. Plus, one of the vet techs kept commenting on how gorgeous Harmony is & what a wonderful housecat she would make. Hopefully, she will decide she wants to keep my girl!

I like the near ‘Knight Rider’ vibe that Kit there seems to convey … But isn’t it weird that mice (lady mice, I know) seem to be that ‘into’ a cat in the first place? Maybe Mr. Chase is just that magnetic? :)

We often post sad stories about our kitties, here’s a happy one! My 14 year old alpha cat emeritus, Flynn, who has congenital heart problems that have turned into chronic congestive failure as he’s gotten older, had his checkup and blood work today to make sure his meds are working. He’s hyperthyroid, too. His results all came back normal and even his heart sounds were good, considering his history. What a nice Christmas present!

Orbsters – some help, please? I drew the name of one of our nurses in the Secret Santa exchange. She has a desk here in the office but mostly works in the field and, consequently, no one in the office really knows much about her. I’ve exhausted the standard Starbucks card and candy, so I’m now out of ideas with three days still to go. $15ish spending limit (thought about a gift card to a local store where you can buy scrubs, but $15 won’t buy much there).

Suggestions?

The forum has gotten so long that i rarely get the opportunity to read it all any more.

My comics queue is long enough that i don’t always get through it during the day.

This is the first that i have heard that Shaunnmunn is missing.
