Buzzy finally speaks! He’s a mouse of few words.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, BCN gave to me:

Twelve cheesy crackers

Eleven yards of yarn

Ten lost pens

An “Our IX Lives” marathon (don’t I wish!)

Eight kibble cookies

Seven new friends

Six bandages for Elvis (no, really, he’s fine)

A Five inch screen TV!

Four sewing needles

Three matching sweaters

Two fancy earrings

And Buzzy freed from captivity!

YES YES YES!!!!! Hire an intern immediately!!!!

I just bought a box of cheese crackers. Can’t figure out why I did that…….

Don’t point those needles at anyone unless you intend to use them!

Shhhh! Spoilers!

Is Buzzy Mouse’s string stuck out because the robber mice used it to tie him up? It seems like since he has been back most of the time you see it hanging down, I don’t remember that from before he was mousenapped, but I would have to go back and look at some of the older strips.

I think Elvis is actually pleased. Shhh…Don’t tell him I said so.

I hope the People had a good Christmas also. We know the Furbabies did.

This is off topic, but I have a question requiring input from cat people. Does anyone have a cat who hums to self-comfort? Yesterday Betty, my 7 year old sweet and somewhat shy housecat, was at the vet for her yearly exam and shots and she was nervous. I picked her up and she started humming, pausing every so often to go “MM, mm, mmm..” just like someone who was worried. The vet thought it was hilarious. She’s never done this before and stopped as soon as we got back in the car. One of my friends pointed out that when I’m brushing Betty I often make that MM, mm, mmm.. noise at all the loose fur, so maybe that’s where she got that. So – any Orbsters with a humming cat?

Finally, a Christmas where everybody is actually happy. You don’t see that too much behind the fourth wall.

Hi, to all the skykey fans. It is with a heavy heart I tell you of the passing of the love of my life. Gil passed in his sleep on December 10th after feeding and playing with our two feral cats, Jet and Dee-Dee. Then he fed Megan and Tre-C, helped me to the dining room as I was in pain, brought me some water and I told him to go back to bed. He passed between 7:30 and 1:30. I went to wake him, tried CPR. I was only 20 feet away and didn’t know. I never got to say good-bye. He had heart surgery 9 years ago and was doing fine. He LOVED writing his story for you. I got to hear each one before he posted it. He loved BCN and read it everyday, me too. I thank-you Georgia for the joy your work brought him! Also, thank-you to all of you for the encourgement and positive feedback you gave Gil. He was very excited and checked responses every morning at 6:30 before going back to bed. Gil is the kindest, most sensitive man I have ever met. He felt injustice very deeply, is a lover of Mother Earth and all her creatures. Thank-you for letting him touch your hearts through Megan and Tre-C. His daddy’s girls miss him terribly. Megan never left his side. I don’t know computers but I can read the comments on the site. Our best wishes to all of you. There is a final story, but it is in his computer and we are trying to retrieve it. Wish me luck. Good-bye for now and Happy New Year! Jeanne
