Peanuts Begins by Charles Schulz for December 19, 2018

If you go back to December 5, 2018, it starts from the beginning.

Oh, they finally uploaded all those skipped days?

I’d go for either Sherman’s root beer or Patty’s lemonade, but then would depend on thei products’ prices.

I wish they wouldn’t do this. Just do them day by day!

The first 3 seem to have identical faces as if Charlie Brown likes to change his outfit occasionally. What day is this in the old strip? It does not appear to be late 1954 like the other ones.

One day it is December 26, 1954, a couple weeks later it is October 18, 1950.

“Peanuts” has been retconned!

So much for my earlier theory “Peanuts Begins” would reset to real time (i.e. Dec. 18, 1954 on Dec. 18, 2018).

At last a new Peanuts!! Look how young they all are!!

This looks like a much earlier strip than when we last left off!

Any way to get in contact with GoComics and ask why they are doing this? Why run to 1954, run a bunch of Sunday strips, take time off then run it back to 1950 and then not to the very beginning? Makes no sense to me.

I was enjoying watching the evolution of the strip. This has ruined it. I’m out.

So glad to see another new old one. I’d love to enjoy them from the beginning in order, but will take what I can get, hoping GoComics keeps them coming.

Also before making a living was a crime.

Even Snoopy looks somewhat round-headed.

I wonder if the person responsible at GC had been posting strips everyday since the 5th and just forgot to hit “publish” on them? I know it happened to Georgia at Breaking Cat News a few of times.

I wish they had restarted on Dec 19, 1962. THAT would have put the dates in sync for a very long time as both 1964 and 2020 are leap years.

Schulz’s hometown paper in St. Paul took a lot of crap for years for not having picked up such a brilliant strip when it started, but when it started and for years afterwards it was really lame at least 90% of the time.

This must be a complete reset to the beginning.

I was hoping to see more “firsts”, such as first appearance of Sally.

Restarting from the beginning, I see. Hope they take it past 1954 this time, and it would be nice if they synced them with the actual time of the year.

Just remember that Charlie Brown has short cropped blond hair. When will the colorists get it right?
