Linus’ blanket was yellow the other day. Did he switch blankets with Charlie Brown?

Those of us who are very lucky always carry one.

Blanket-carrying Peanuts characters are 100% male (although Violet is blanket-curious enough to hold it for a minute).

That’s his underpants, Charlie Brown.

It was Linus who carried the security blanked around. He must have gotten the habit from good old Charlie Brown.

Interesting that later on Linus caught all kinds of derision for doing exactly what C.B. is advocating here…

And they made fun of Linus.

Oh dear, Schroeder was “outed” before that word was even invented.

Like your passwords, some things need to be kept secret for reasons of security.

My over-40 yo daughter still has her security blanket. The scraps of her original are tucked inside a zippered pillow. She had me make her a new blanket a couple of years ago. (Store bought ones no longer have the requisite satin edging.) She doesn’t use it often. It lives at my house.

I guess that’s where Linus got the inspiration?

They really provide security if you run into a Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal.

THAT’S how the security blanket made its first appearance? Good grief!
