Hmm …. Luann seems a little too enthusiastic about getting the Gunther hooked up on this dating site …..maybe to avoid another Close Encounter of the Awkward Kind with him …

They will be caught by Les in Gunther’s bedroom, for sure.

It could be wonderful if Luann set all this up to get Gunther to change in his bedroom – with Luann then making a move. But life is rarely that good…

So with Gunther & Luann in the bedroom – (1) Les comes home and sits in front of the TV watching Dances with Wolves followed by Gone with the Wind; or (2) Les sneaks in with Tiffany and Gunther & Luann have all night together to sort things out; or (3) Ma Berger barges in with cookies and is ecstatic – ringing wedding bells…

Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match. Nah. This is Gunther we’re talking about. He’d never be that lucky. Most probably, people are messing with him.

So far so weird! He may want to interact only via screen.

When this whole episode started (remember Les’ greeting a demure Luann at the door?) I thought there were three ways this could go. One was a spat with Les over another girl. Two was a Luann internal romantic conflict between Gunther and Jack. Three was Luann in a role as life coach; as with Jack and Fay. Right now it looks like three.

I’m encouraged and saddened at the same time. :o\

if it was anyone else besides Luann, and, Gunther, I’d say bedroom? Things might get “Interesting here.” But it’s those two. THe best that will happen will be Luann telling Gunther to take a picture of his Picard Uniform PJ’s spread out on his bed.

Bets and Gunther can go to a Star Trek convention as a first date. Something tells me that this won’t happen, especially since I have a feeling they live in different states.

So, two days ago they almost kissed. Now she says follow me to the bedroom ????

From almost kissing to almost going to bed together? Maybe Greg is just teasing his readers or maybe he is just remembering the good old days. What the heck? It might be interesting to see Luann carry a baby for the next nine months.

It appears that Greg is teasing us further (first the near kiss, now the upcoming bedroom scene). Again, I hope it remains firmly tease with NO real relationship focus between the two of them. Please, please instead have Gunther meet a female who is a new character and we can see Gunther grow unencumbered into the type of person he wants to be.

The MOST NOTICEABLE THING TO ME TODAY , however is Luann’s last speech bubble:

“Yes! They in your bedroom? C’mon!!”

The “they” in the above could be a simple typographical error. However, it does not seem that anyone else has pointed it out… so that leads me to very cringingly conclude that the phrase “They in your…” is some sort of legitimized saying of some sort. It saddens me, however.

Actually, “They in your bedroom?” instead of “They are in your bedroom?” or at least “They’re in your bedroom?” just sets my teeth on edge. I wish it was just a typographical error…. but I fear it is an intentionally aggravating misuse of grammar… used as a colloquialism of some sort.

Luann is really a fantastic friend. She is so enthusiastic about pushing Gunther to “talk” to a girl with whom he could have a lot of mutual interests. She want him happy!

Does G-man model them for Luann, too? :)

Take it a bit more slowly, Gunny (despite impetuous Luann). The bigger the nerdiness, the harder the fall….

Hmmm, a girl with an overbite who’s into Star Trek? Now I am starting to get interested.

Ah, come on guys! I’m hoping that Gunther will meet a nice girl. It’s obvious he and Luann are going to simply remain friends, and that’s great. I can see Luann with Jack maybe, but I’m hoping this works out well for Gunther and it’s not some sort of scam.

Ok, I love Picard Pajamas. I remember that episode. And now I love Gunther and Luann even more.
