Mary Worth is also doing a dating app storyline, only for seniors (duh) instead of…twentysomethings? However old Luann is supposed to be.

Anyways, Mary’s friend is on this dating site and all her matches have been completely insane and it’s great.

So finally we see Pru as an actress.

Let the apps have a date and leave Luann out of it! ;-)

I still think that form of dating is too risky.

I sometimes wonder why Pru and Luann are such good friends. Then I read strips like this and remember. Pru is such a treasure!

So Luann gets the Predictably “Cute, Buff, Dougie,” while Gunther will probably have to settle for “Sweet, Nerdy, “Bets” with an overbite, Huh? Oh well. I think it’s pretty clear which way this is going.

And while I’ve been a fan of Pru since she first appeared, after this week, I’m about to join the chorus of those who think it’s about time for her to return to New York.

Luann could meet a person though the dating app then when they finally meet in person he could be a 65 year old man.

Tiff doesn’t need on line dating. All she’d have to do is perch on a bar stool and she would get more hits than a baseball team.

There is a YouTube vid that is a must see – it starts out with two teens meeting on their phones and they exchange pictures. She tells the young man that he passes the visual test, and he responds likewise. They arrange to meet in a park in town and describe what each will be wearing. The scene cuts to the park and as the young lady looks up to see someone heading towards her in the clothes described, it turns out to be an old guy, probably in his late 60’s. When the guy in his 60’s sees the person coming towards him dressed as described, it turns out to be guess what? Another guy in his 60’s! A double – whammy. The video is set to the tune of Flora Cash’s “You’re Somebody Else”, and it fits to a tee. So, if you have 3 minutes and 12 seconds, it is well worth a watch. In fact, it is more of a public service announcement…

Folks often worry over character “development” here. Well Pru’s character is “developing” or else showing an aspect not heretofore seen. And it ain’t good.

You left out the part about attracting the attention of possibly dangerous creeps who won’t take No for an answer, Pru.

Well, this time I agree with Pru(ne). Beeing a Gunthy is no fun. Live a little Lu.

This isn’t a “marriage” app. It’s a “date” app. Luann doesn’t have to commit more than a single evening (which she can break off early, if need be!) to anyone she meets through it. If she does delete the app, she will be back to the same potential dating pool of – what, 2 or 3 guys total? The writers seem unwilling to let her meet anyone else via face-to-face contact.

It’s interesting to learn that Pru has found dates through this app. I wonder whether we shall ever see her on a date (perhaps if they go to the Fuse), or whether Greg feels that actually showing a same-sex relationship is somewhere that the strip shouldn’t go?

Everyone gambles at some point in life. What matters is doing it when the stakes are heavily in your favor. A picture is not always what it seems to be and may just be a desert mirage that goes poof right before your very eyes. Hunger can indeed cloud judgement in most cases even when revealed to be what it really is.

For some reason it just seems the internet has become the most efficient means for the 2 sexes to get acquainted.

My son married his high school sweetheart, a woman he’d known most of his life. They were badly divorced after seven years. He married again a few years later a woman he met on line. They are still going strong and are true soulmates, and she already had three children that I inherited as grandchildren . They all call me Grandpa, and I love them all. So, it can work, and well.

OK here’s the PLAN: Pru sets up a monthly “speed dating” at The Fuse. (Safer dating than online dating). Great income for Nancy and Frank. (maybe Frank will use the money for Luann’s dowry). More employment money for TJ Les Pru and Ox. Fun for Luann and her gang of friends and a few new characters. “The Fuse” has the nice themed name meaning. Fuse: join or blend to form a single entity. Make an offer to any couple that gets married – a discount on wedding/reception at the Fuse. Hense more income for Frank!!

Too many gold diggers online. Especially with the foreign-based services.

Both the Mary Worth and Luann strips are pushing dating apps right now. A conspiratorial sort would wonder whether there’s a secret date app sponsor trying a sort of product placement ad in the funnies this month…

It would be interesting to see Pru get excited about someone. Probably a new character – as the Luann cast is a bit younger. Among the existing cast, I think Dez might not be picky about which gender she dates. We all remember Ann Eiffel got to Pru – Ann is good for any date that benefits her purse.

so maybe this week will end with Luann telling Gunther that she has not deleted her date profile and that he has not deleted his either, and that they will agree to explore and keep an open mind about meeting others.

We need to know more about Pru. She was introduced to the strip as Quill’s theater friend from NYC then she came to Pittsville to…work at the DeGroots’ (& TJ’s) club?

I love to see the discussions between these two. Pru is a true actress and Luann has a lot of fun watching her act. I believe she’s convinced not to cancel the app. HOORAY FOR PRU!

Meanwhile, all this week on ‘Luann Againn’, Luann has been lamenting her dateless state to her father. Coincidence that these two ’toons are dealing with dating issues at the same time?

Pru exercises her acting chops. But I’m not sure Luann is at all impressed.

I’ve never successfully met someone through online dating. The few that do interact always turn out to be scammers. It gets pretty old after a while.The only way to meet real people through the internet is by spending money on dating sites. Which I refuse to do.
