Well, I guessed starved Farley would go for a squirrel or trash can dinner and not a cat dinner. Say goodbye to that kitty unless Elizabeth can catch him time.
Hubby-to-be and I were taking aunt’s dog for his walk. Sat at the corner and would not budge to go around the block. So we let him take us across the street and around that block. Oops! Told we should have let him just sit there and go back into the apartment. He wasn’t allowed on that block!
I said this was going to happen, Elizabeth can’t walk Farliy she’s not ready. She’s not responsible enough, the dog will pull her down the street, and he’s not well trained. Michael will have to walk the dog because he’s strong enough to hold back Farliy or they could try obedience classes. I’m not saying I have the best trained dogs because I don’t only one walks nicely on a leash and he only weights 10 pounds. The other two who weigh between 20 and 30 pounds on their own who drag you.
Our Farley, the real one, was hard to handle. We took him to dog training classes and worked hard to make the lessons stick…but the only things that stuck to Farley were burrs and briars from the ravine behind our house. He considered himself a free spirit, and there were times I’d have given him away—for free.
My cats when our dog comes near: dog meet claws. Our dog stays clear of them. Except for two tortoiseshells they actually let the dog smell and lick them.

I had one like this too, he was my best friend for more than 13 years. So full of love, I could, and did, forgive him anything. Dogs run, they love it, they’re better people than most people are. I bless the day the first one came in to sit by the fire.
This “run” versus “walk” edict seems a little silly. Dogs will always stop to sniff things. Judging from how things go with Elizabeth it’s clear nobody has supervised the kids taking the dog for walks or runs. They just assume the kids know what to do.

Farley was just checking his social media accounts, Elizabeth. What he was doing is the canine equivalent of Facebook or Twitter!

They wanted him to run. What are the others going to say now that she lost their dog?

Do they not have a backyard where they can play with Farley?
