Do they need a couple of cups of coffee before feeling like blooming?

Depends: with rain, it’s ‘I got up for THIS?!!. with snow, it’s ‘I can’t see!!.’ With deep freeze, ‘Oh well, maybe next year.’ Oh, wait. That’s me.

We’re still working on how much dogs (less still other animals) have a consciousness similar to ours; and now he wants to go off on the psyche of daffodils?

I am and always have been a morning person. The greatest thing I’ve found about the early morning is it’s never crowded.

Morning would be fine if it didn’t come so bloody early in the day.

It’s futile enough to try and think like other people, so you’d think I’d know better than to try to think like a flower. Of course, the other option is, “why not?” And ultimately, it’s my job to send my head off in directions that would have anyone else’s internal GPS repeating, “recalculating.”

Flowers are not heads, they are sex organs. So imagine that for a moment. Big brightly colored to attracted other species to aid in reproduction. For bees they see green, blue and ultra violet. The flower colors look very different in UV. And I am waiting for the discovery of plant analogs to nerves.
