If you married someone and thought they would never change, that they would stay the say, or that you could change them then you might just be the idiot needing rehab.

They need to install a revolving door.

I’m reminded of the Gary Larson cartoon where the kid is pushing on the door that says “Pull”.

I feel challenged by this.

Rehabilitation is a great long-term goal but I think the immediate need is quarantine.

It really is amazing, how men can, in almost the same breath, show blinding brilliance followed by mind-numbing stupidity. Women don’t seem to suffer from this flaw anywhere near as much.

Then, the ladies head for a nearby bar to commiserate among themselves. If the treatment doesn’t take, they will at least have found some sympathetic company.

We could use a few more of those for everyone who says ‘Hold my beer’ and ’watch this.’

If the women are their spouses, what does that say about them?

So…how come it appears that all the idiots are men? Do you mean to say women aren’t idiots some times? Or if you showed women as idiots everyone would shame you for being sexists? All the comics seem to bash men. How bout some fairness.

the cultural bias swings both ways. Are the men idiots or do the women perceive them as idiots? I’m not complaining about the bias…one of the ingredients in comedy are the cliches and generalities we all recognize (but some are afraid to admit).

Most idiots aren’t anonymous, but in any case it won’t be larger enough.

It is hard for me to understand (at age 73) how a simple daily cartoon can generate such thoughtful responses on simple subjects as today’s (in the way men and women think and react) and how a great local paper for me – the Cleveland Plain Dealer – can dismiss Wiley Miller from the comic pages for a simple, albeit stupid mistake – for which he has profoundly apologized. Bring Non Sequitur back!
