Funny…I’m reading a story set in the rural south in the early 1900s, where heating a brick on the wood stove and wrapping it in newspaper before heading off to bed (no central heat then/there) was the means of warming the bed.
Blankets right out of the dryer are great to wrap yourself up in for the few minutes it takes to cool down – it doesn’t matter what time of the year it is!
