Nancy must have borrowed a pair of blinders from one of the Republican members of the House. They use them to avoid seeing or hearing what that moron in the White House is doing and saying.

When the Rump called neo-nazis fine people no one in the repub party rebuked it. Steve King was openly racist for years, the repub party did not rebuke him. There is a preponderance of racist comments and actions from the repub party. The democrats are at least attempting to deal with Omar’s comments.

Israel has become a religious fantasyland and something much bigger than life for those trying to divine meaning from ancient scripts that supposedly prophesied it as the place where the world ends. Religion is tolerated, not venerated in the US Constitution, yet with 60% nationally unable to pass a citizenship test, power-hungry politicians can easily exploit/nurture these superstitious religious fantasies to their own selfish advantage while ignoring the beneficial directives of religions … (e.g.) international brotherhood and caring for the poor.

Did I miss something her? All I’ve seen Omar do is speak the truth about the actions of a political group and the politicians that are beholden to them and about the horrible and possibly illegal actions of the state of Israel. Has she attacked the Jewish people personally in an anti-Semitic way? I have not seen that. Also, being a Muslim means that Omar is a Semite which I think would make it hard to be anti-Semitic even if she hated the Jews which I don’t believe she does.

Of course what West Virginia Republicans did was just ‘freedom of speech’.

Omar took a dig at Obama saying ““We can’t be only upset with Trump. His policies are bad, but many of the people who came before him also had really bad policies. They just were more polished than he was. We don’t want anybody to get away with murder because they are polished.”

VARVEL! You out there? What exactly did congressperson Ilhan Omar say that you believe was anti-Semitic? Or are you just being a christian conservative? We are waiting!

Pelosi actually took Omar’s words in context and understood their meaning. No wonder Varvel and his party are irate!

The Dems were supposed to take the bait and step on her hard, but the resolution they drafted was too factual for a couple dozen Gops to stomach. They wanted something to club Omar with, and to divide the Dems.

Same general “blinders” meme from both Varvel and Ramirez. Originality seems to be a No-no for reactionary cartoonists. Are Stiglitz and Kelley next in line for this one?

Republican Varvel didn’t have much to say when Republican Steve King asked “When did White Supremacy become a bad word?”

Criticism of the government of Israel for revolting (and worsening) behavior is not “anti-Semitism”, whatever else it is.

So now you are an anti-semite for calling out a country for murdering Palestinian children with high powered sniper rifles. Come on global warning, put an end to the cruelest animals on earth, stupid humans.

May want to actually read or listen to the opinion she gave.

So Republicans voted against an anti-hate bill because it said no discrimination of hate toward “Muslims” as well as the REST of all cultures.

Those are some very well drawn blinders. Do you suppose Varvel was using his own as a model when he drew ’em?

Such a common occurance with that party that it no longer fazes me.
