How lucky for Calvin that there were a pair of stilts in the house.

I tried that once when I was a kid.Had to quickly give it up as I kept falling down all the time.It was very hard to do and keep your balance.Calvin seems to have mastered it quite well.

Disaster looms for in the distant waits the Mother Lion waiting for the right moment to strike.

But how is he going to get the cookies? If he knocks the cookie jar off the counter Mom will hear it and come running, knowing that Calvin is up to something.

Really Calvin? Like you’re not in enough trouble as it is?

How is he going to keep his balance when he has to let go of the stilts to reach for the cookie jar?

My dad made me stilts from scrap wood. What fun they were.

If he becomes a nature photographer, he’ll be able to eat all the cookies he wants until he gets too fat to be a nature photographer.

Judging from the angel Calvin’s at ( if there were another frame ) he’d be tipping over backwards …

When I was three—younger than Calvin—I used a chair. I could climb anything. Even the top cabinet shelf was not safe from me. :-)

And then I had kids…payback time.

Looks like a accident waiting to happen…

The sweetest fruits munch only the big animals……

Calvin, a tiger teammate might be able to climb up from your position and hand them down to you. Emphasis on ‘might’.

It’s not going to work, he’s still to low….

As soon as Calvin goes to grab the cookie jar it’ll all come crashing down!

Looks like we have another MacGuyver in the making.

I hear a crash of the cookie jar in the near future.

We are told that giraffes’ necks gradually got longer as a result of them always having to stretch their necs to reach their food. (That theory was disproved long ago, but is still taught in high school text books.) But the fact is that they neve had to stretch their necks to eat. They often bend down to eat.

Wait until he finds out the cookie jar is actually empty.

Yet even with the natural advantage of height he still falls prey to the Queen of the Savanah. The Mother Lioness, who guards her domain with vigor. MOM!

I am so glad nothing can go wrong here.

Some months ago Nancy got the up high cookie jar by breaking the 4th wall. However, it was in the comics, so Aunt Fritzi knew

Calvin is magicHe can levitate the jar of cookies to him, and if his mom comes, he’ll fly away. (In reality, he’l be Jumping off a roof with a balloon)

That’s what comes of giving a child a subscription to National Geographic. Of course, when I was Calvin’s age, I read Geographic for the hot parts. Men of a “certain age” will remember well exactly what I mean.

What I want to know is how Calvin managed to get up on the stiltss.

It is too bad that the wonderfully outré giraffe is rapidly dying out. 90% population drop and no one was looking! The question is why? Human populations, destruction of habitat, hunting and human caused global warming are playing their part to exterminate the now rare species.Other populations have managed to regenerate.

Kinda think that if Calvin makes it to the cookie jar he’ll eat more than a morsel.

He is so remarkably imaginative and creative, despite how poorly he does in school. Hallmark of an ADD/ADHD.

….and then, there’s the elusive Calraffe. He isn’t quite so graceful or serene.
