While looking for the history behind the 1954 movie “Sign of the Pagan” (starring Jack Palance as Attila) I ran across a children’s book called “Attila the Pun,” about his wordplaying kid brother. The protagonists tried to conjure up the ghost of the leader, but … At one point the ghost they got floated into a bar and asked, “Do you serve spirits here?”

Great. Now I’ve got the song, I’m in Love with Attila the Hun, from The Dick Van Dyke Show, stuck in my head.

I assume you’re aware that he didn’t just come from the costume shop. (By the smell, if nothing else.)

Well, Attila was also called the “Whip of God”. Pretty scary indeed.

Sorry, legal thinks that the proposed name is likely to be confused with Attila the Nun, and you don’t want to mess with her.

Change his hair style (lose the helmet) and he can be Atilla the Bun. Change his weapons and he can be Atilla the Gun.
