Cats figure if their people are eating something, it must be good. Once, a cat I had was bugging me to let her have some of what I was eating. I can’t remember what it was, but I remember it was something cats don’t ordinarily eat. I dropped some of it on the floor for her and, of course, she sniffed of it and walked off without taking a single bite.
I had a cat years ago who would eat the strangest things. Her wanting some of my lasagna or mac ‘n’ cheese, or ice cream, OK – her eating a bit of salad (no dressing) and then trying to stick her face in my dish for more kind of surprised me. Lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and mushrooms are not typically cat food.
