Typical sunday arc. It’s an ok break the week but i wanna see how the “lingerie arc” plays out. It sounds like a cheesy soap opera: will gunther and bets fall in love? will gunther lose his v-card to bets? will tiffany get paid? what’s happening with brad and toni? Will luann ever get her life in order? Find out this week on “Luann.”
Those are some of the most realistic drawings of a kid I ever saw. I did that. My kids did that. My grandkids do that. All the kids I’ve ever seen do that.
You have just seen why little kids like to see the same movie over and over. They are usually fooling around and doing other things so much while the movie is on, it can take them at least 10 to 20 times of playing the movie to actually see the whole thing.
Little kids have grown up with TV, computers, etc. They can be paying attention while doing something else at the same time.
Some years back, psychologists did an experiment where they had n umber of small children playing in a room. In the room were six TV sets, all on, each one tuned to a different episode of Sesame Street.
The psychologists shut off the TV sets and questioned the children. All of the children could say what was happening on every one of the TV sets when they were shut off, and everything that had led up to that point.
I love these little Luann-Shannon bonding moments. Luann is a good babysitter (or aunt) and is so nice to see Shannon’s infinite energy. Finally a child who behaves like a child.
Usually kids sit placidly when watching something thrilling. Shannon looks like a potential case of ADD or hyperactivity. OR CARS was not her thing and her “enjoyment” came from exploring the cushions. :o)
Having fun with Shannon Luann? The more interesting story is going on over at Gunther and Les’. And, it’s Gunther who will be supplying the more interesting story.
1) Doubtful. He’s a mama’s boy, she’ll catch on soon. 2) His V card has a lifetime membership. 3) Probably, but not what she hoped to get. 4) Same Old Same Old. 5) Doubtful. Stay tuned for more of the same. It’s probably time for a boring Fay arc for 2 weeks.
Having raised kids and working on grand kids, they are full of energy and can be rambunctious. That does NOT mean they have ADHD. It means they are kids. There is no need to start them on drugs. There is plenty of time for that when they get older.
Shannon might have a touch of ADHD, attention deficit hyperactive disorder. Or she might just be an energetic 6 year old. It’s to ambiguous to tell. I always like it when Luann is drawn with shorts on btw, and I am not embarrassed to write that. She has grown into a very attractive young 19 year old (or 20, I am sure strip historians can set me straight on the exact years, but always remember this is Luannverse).
Shannon’s way of watching is the only way to enjoy “Cars”, a completely dreadful Pixar outing. I generally enjoy Pixar films, but I couldn’t sit through that waste of time again.
CARS. I can name on one hand (without thumb) the number of movies I’ve seen in-theater more than once. CARS? 6. And I have full screen, wide screen & blue-ray DVDs, soundtrack CD, as many of the McDonald’s toys as I could find (and no, Virginia, there were NOT only six). Over one hundred (closer to 2) DIFFERENT match-box/hot-wheels cars before starting to count the doubles, had the Wii game [gave the Wii to my grandson]. Watch it again? HELL, yeah! (And I turned 57 the year it came out.)

Just talking about Shannon yesterday.
What’s that old saying? “Speak of the Devil?”
At least Brad and Toni are getting a break this time around….., ;)

That’s about par for a kid her age. Watch the parts you like, fidget for the rest of the movie.

‘CARS’ has no princesses, no magic powers, no fairy godmothers, no talking animals, no wonder Shannon fidgety.

I used to think Shannon was just a brat; now I think she is autistic….That could be an educational arc.

This is where Shannon should stay, the occasional one off Sunday strip, never to pollute the main storyline again.

Take that little bean bag over for Gunther and Bets to babysit. That reality will be so scary, they won’t dare get too romantic.

Time to watch “The Wizard of Oz”. Move the couch forward so she can watch from behind when the witch and flying monkeys come on.

Great strategy Luann: sit and enjoy the movie, and let Shannon romp all over the sofa and tire herself out – only problem is – the kid is tireless…

And this is why Kids can enjoy the same movie over and over.
Because every time they watch it, they see something they’ve never seen before.

Luann’s legs would be so cramped and sore if she sat on them off to the side for an entire movie.
