Actually, millions of the children of our most irrational citizens are falling away from the nonsense, especially the irrational hatreds, every year. Their elders are reacting to that fact even more irrationally.

I though Rational thought died along with common sense

The trouble with ‘rational thought’ is enforcing the rational decision.

Not in my lifetime!!

Obviously, he’s not foreshadowing most mainstream news agencies (the AP is okay, though).

Developing rational thought is a three-step process. 1. No Facebook. 2. No Fox News. 3. No Fox and Friends.

Sadly, those with binary cognitive processing biases cannot be educated because they will never accept data that doesn’t support their preconceptions, thus it is pointless to try. All one should do is pat them on the head and state “Good for you” and move on.

Coming rational thought? Does that mean that the anti-Trump cult of hate is shutting down and allowing those with common sense and actual facts to emerge again? Well that WOULD be good!

Well a least that’s a positive spin on the usual end of the World scenario.

When I took educational psychology I read that up to 2/3 of adults never reach the intellectual stage of critical thinking. My immediate reaction was that seemed kind of low.

I feel that we’re safe from this fate for quite some time…

Boy, we haven’t see much of THAT since about 1968…except for the 8 years between 2001 and 2009…

After reading the comments so far …. we have a ways to go. But where that actually leads us is hard to tell.
