She can’t see stairs and she bumps into things with a new pair of glasses? Sounds like the eye doctor did not do such a great job here.

I’ve had my glasses for quite a while now, but I still can’t manage going down the stairs wearing them.

I think it is great that they can tell that kids need glasses at an early age. A friend’s kid got his at 2 years old. The kids have no reference to know they aren’t seeing well.

Come to think of it. Now I remember the walk home with my first glasses(small town). The ground looked so close when I looked down. Made me a little dizzy.

You go, lizzie! Sometimes brothers need a figurative slap upside the head to get their attention.

It is true what she says about stairs and distances because she was going by memory before, and now that she has the glasses, everything is so much clearer, that she’s using her new eyesight and not her memory…

.In my case, as soon as I put on my very first glasses at around age 55 or so, I told the optometrist that I was dizzy and of course she said that it takes a few days to adjust. Well, a week later, still dizzy and even my stomach was queasy from wearing them…I went back and they adjusted the fit—didn’t help. Two weeks later, still dizzy and they tell me to give it more time. Three weeks later, all kinds of explanations about the glasses being my first pair, etc. and that it takes time. I’m getting fed up already. I ask for another exam… turns out they wrote a wrong prescription, no allowance for astigmatism, and no allowance for close up…all kinds of sorry for your trouble, etc. New glasses come in—not dizzy, from the first try… I got $100.00 credit on my card by way of trying to make up. Never went there again. Found another optometrist who is a gem. Succeeding new pair—not one problem with it.

Doesn’t really need glasses. I was diagnosed with needing glasses at her age but they made things worse. Today I only need reading glasses and that’s because of age.

The first idiot eye doctor gave me tri-focals and I nearly killed myself falling down the stairs. We brought them back, got our money back and I went to another doctor and got distance glasses and reading glasses.
