Um…where’s all the supernatural stuff I’ve come to love about this strip? Where’s the mystery, the aliens, the demons, the ghosts? This storyline seems to be pretty straightforward. Still interesting and funny…but…
The waitress may (or may not) be Melanie Soap, Shauna’s predecessor as assistant at Amy’s shop. (She left that job when she got the Bank of Burgers job.) (In “The Case of the Forked Road” (the one with the time-travel portal in the chemistry lab that led back to 1960), Amy had given up her shop to also work at Bank of Burgers; in trying to get Amy and Ryan together in the alternate timeline, the Mystery Girls accidentally got Ryan to talk to Melanie instead of Amy.)
I’m not entirely sure at this point if Shauna’s met Melanie or not. I mean, she definitely has, but that was in the alternate timeline, and those events no longer happened (thus no one remembers them), so they’ve probably not actually met in the current timeline.
Hmmm…..clean, slim looks, effeminate handshake. Could be he’s gay. Which would actually be the most positive scenario. It would explain why he felt he couldn’t be a part of their lives.
I really like the way Shauna’s feet are crossing awkwardly. Apparently she is trying to hold it all together while talking to Glenn, but she is actually falling apart out of eyesight. (And speaking eyesight, can she read the menu OK without her glasses?)

Well, it is called “Bank of Burgers.”
He’s wearing the same shirt that Mildred does.

Ok,he looks better than l expected from him.He is nice and slim and all blond. I hope he is Ok with Shauna. And that she is Ok with him.
If he had been a bad looking fellow, he would appear to her as sinister. Shauna should be fine with a geeky dad.

They greet each other with a leftie handshake. Don’t most left-handed people normally extend their right hand when meeting someone?

This’ll be interesting. He’s actually not at all what I was expecting, but that’s probably a good thing, really.
Can definitely see the resemblance between the two. They probably have more in common than either would care to admit.

Shauna must have really bad eyesight to be unable to read anything.
