The real mind-blower is when you realize people can see those things in you, and they still choose to be around you.

What could be more validating, yet so humiliating?

That’s a great video of 1906 San Francisco.

I’d rather see some of the parts that you do hide.

Barbara “Livingston Seagull” Hershey (or whatever it is she calls herself these days) was MUCH better in Boxcar Bertha.

Choosing not to see what can’t be hidden is simply good manners, and a good test of whether you want to be seen together.

I’ve seen “Happiness”. It is one of the most depressing films ever made. Watch at your own risk.

    Dear Marg

Rotifer will no longer be receiving your emails. He has moved to Guam (maybe permanently). He heard there were some attractive job “openings.”

    Sincerely,

    Mother Thalweg

The San Francisco vid is one of the most haunting pieces of film I have ever seen, for all its simplicity.

love the elk hunter video, especially where he sprays elk urine INTO his mouth (and complains that it tastes bad) then gets assaulted. Great video! I think the best part is that the wife didn’t help, but kept on filming. Good on ya, buck!!!

Re: one glove in the road. Teresa, you might look around for one shoe in the road. Or maybe, two shoes in the road…I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything but one shoe in the road. And what’s up with that!? The Great Mystery of One Shoe In the Road. It’s got the great minds chasing their tails.

Thanks for the Lynda Barry books turn-on.

Nice to see the Canadian icon Don “Grapes” Cherry, featured on the Blog, his old T.V. show’s theme song was “Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top.

I think that’s Annie Leibowitz’ photo of Pete Seeger’s banjo head on the FrogBlog

Pete’s banjo is 3 frets longer than a standard 5-string.

The slogan was probably inspired by the one usually seen on Woodie Guthrie’s guitars []”This Machine Kills Fascists”](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwcKwGS7OSQ&feature=player_embedded)

    Dear Mother Thalweg,

I wish him much luck in his new venture. I can’t bear to think of those poor girls just sitting around, unable to marry, because of their unfortunate condition.

    Sincerely,

    Marg. Employment Counsler at Large
