I really don’t believe cats think food comes in a can. Else they would bring you one as a “present.”

Cats are discerning, dogs not so much. If a dog won’t eat it, you know it’s incredibly bad.

Fish says “bubble-up, bubble-up”, cat says “Open that can. Meow, meow, open that can.” Cat says “Open that can.”

Until they get opposable thumbs…

Everybody goes after the ones with disposable income rather than the ones with no say. (Further proof that money is speech.)

It’s almost enough to make a cat seek employment… not quite, but ALMOST.

To market to cats all they would have to say is “Smells raunchy! Tastes great!” or “Claws open. No can opener or human required.” Even just “Canned mice” would probably do.

Label cat food cans with names such as:

Meat

Filly Mignon

Sweepings

My step-father co-authored an article on the dangers of putting MSG in baby food to make the taste palatable to parents.

There was a time that cat food in a can was a staple in the diet of the destitute and homeless…….
