So, we get our first good look at the featured villains.
Sally has orange hair and yellow glasses. I like the look. I notice that she has a sing-songy voice. It’s interesting, but I’m not too sure what that tells us about her.
Doc has green lens on his glasses which obviously have very thick lenses — the “Coke bottle” kind. Coke used to come in greenish bottles, didn’t it? There is just a hint of buck teeth. It reminds me of Bugs Bunny (“What’s up, Doc?”). I wonder if that’s intentional. A bow tie, suspenders, and a white dress shirt are the clothes that mark his individual style. The hat that he’s wearing certainly could be that of the silhouetted figure we saw in the background at the police station, but I’m still not convinced that that was him.
He looks like one of those WWII caricatures of Tojo (note the glasses, the odd reflections of the eyes behind them and the skin being a different color than that of other characters). I hope the artist isn’t carrying that old stereotype forward. As for if he did it, he seems to have flies around him as did the person who shot Tracy so … yeah, he did it.
As the story continues, I suppose it will be revealed whether Doc is a hit man or has a grudge against Tracy due to an encounter a relative of his had with the detective.
1- LOLA EYEQUE: What… 2- …Oh it’s you Bugs. Did you get my Happy Meal? 3- BUGS: NO! They wouldn’t serve me because of my affliction! LOLA: Because you can’t see good enough to put your bow tie on right? That’s… BUGS: No you dummy! The flies of course! I was so mad I shot up a statue of Ronald McDonald they had nearby! LOLA: I’m glad you got it out of your system. Now lets just forget all about it and you order me up some delivery. Chinese always sounds good. BUGS: Yeah it does baby. Wait. I’m Japanese. ARE YOU CHEATING ON ME????
Sally, I see, has gone from blonde to redhead; I think I liked her better as a blonde. Little Doc really is a little shrimpy guy, with thick glasses. Sopping wet from being out in the pouring rain (hmm; where? doing what? -I think we know, or at least suspect), he looks pretty unimposing, but he tells off Sally sharply. I get the thought that this guy, Little Doc, may not only bear a familial grudge against Tracy but may also be over-compensating. He does seem to be the edgy type who could become very violent in an instant if he perceives that he is being being challenged or belittled (oops-bad pun! Shame on me!)….

sally was a willowy but chesty blond the last time we saw her. never mind not seeing monday’s coming, this seems to be badly slipping continuity.

I think he borrowed his oversized outfit from the Spirit.

Poor Sally must have a stopped-up nose to be so cheerful around a guy who smells so bad that he draws flies.

Hard to believe this schmuck could accomplish what Flattop, Pruneface, the Brow, & Mumbles couldn’t … possibly get the fatal drop on Dick Tracy.

Ok, Tracy certainly was wearing his vest. He’s no doubt banged up, but still on his feet.
Any chance Tracy is going to fake a serious injury in order to draw out his assailant?
