Emmett Kelly’s restaurant chain didn’t last very long.

Now they’re some sad things known to man

But ain’t too much sadder than

The tears of a clown when there’s no one around

Boo boo hoo, pass the catsup, boo hoo

Salty tears for the fries.

the wheat in our buns is freshly grim-reaped

quit clowning around

Do maudlin burgers taste funny?

The drive through was crowded.

When I was a kid, clowns were (almost entirely) fun. When my kid was a kid, it was kind of mixed; and now, a lot of them are somewhere on the sad-scary spectrum.
