I drive Telegraph Rd almost every day (only to avoid Southfield..). Cell phones are rampant, attached to ears, in laps with the tattletale head bobbing.. Just hang up and drive!
It’s called Hanlon’s Razor in some circles: “Never ascribe to malice that which can be explained by stupidity.” It’s been more commonly, but less accurately, credited to Napoleon Bonaparte (including, it should be noted, in this very comic strip). If Bonaparte HAD said it, he’d look like even more of a genius, because it could then be argued that he foresaw today’s age of motorists and cell phones.
And now we have Biden, who knows nothing but the word infrastructure, who uses it as often as certain age groups use the word “like”… and still has done nothing except to turn it into such a joke that I know people who use his frequent saying of it as the basis for one EPIC drinking game.

Apparently, the Telegraph Road they’re referring to is US 24. But one could only guess if they’re talking about potholes or bad traffic.

A thinly veiled comment on the shameful deterioration of America’s infrastructure. Who was it who promised that only he could fix it?

The Telephone Road I’m familiar with is in the Houston, Texas area.

It’s route 35 and extends south from I45.

Not every shipwreck includes loss of lives. where most plane wrecks do. Gravity: it’s not just a good idea, it’s the law.

My passenger operates the GPS device and if the phone rings, neither of us answer it because:
1: She won’t, hating cell phones as she does
2: I’m driving and won’t until I pull over
3: Anyway it’s 90% likely to be spam
