She might have to call Hallmark?

I started reading in general, and comic strips in particular, back in the early 60s. Lucy just might be my first “villain you love to hate.”

Hallmark. It’s called Valentine’s Day.

Sometimes, Schroeder, you are a little slow

So what would be her reaction if a boy proposed that all girls be required to bake cookies for boys one day a week? Sexist much, Lucy?

Looks like Schroeder got the message.

Maybe someone from the Holiday Council or the Gold Diggers Society.

Is politics in Lucy’s future?

If I was in charge, things would be a whole lot different!

Japan has a yearly celebration called Hinamatsuri. Families display a set of hina dolls in the house and serve special food delicacies that are ceremonially beautiful and delicious. It’s purpose is to pray for health and happiness for young Japanese girls.

It was also in the Pokemon anime, though the dub called it Princess Day.

“I’m suggesting it to YOU! What, I gotta draw you a road map?”

All mortals have the right to suggest. But then this is Lucy, the most notorious character in this strip. She does have the right.

This is like that recent thing about a petition to change Halloween to the last Saturday in October. Whoever started that petition apparently didn’t realize it’s not a federal holiday in any way, shape, or form. There is no one to give that petition to who could do anything.
