Interesting words Chesney used there -klungling and splungling. But honestly, Ches, we all know cats can see in the dark. They also think we can see in the dark, so sometimes, they don’t get out of the way when we need to use the bathroom at night and we can stumble over them. Then they get mad at us. I always shuffle my feet when I walk in the dark. I might bump into a cat with my feet but at least I don’t step on them or trip over them.
National Amelia Earhart Day. She has the same birthday as my brother Paul. I’d wish him happy birthday, but he doesn’t read this comic strip. Shame on him!
National Cousins Day. In my book, Cousins Day is August 18. My cousin Becky and I were born on that date, just 7 hours or so apart.
Lovebug has me stumped and the vet shocked. When Dr Chad saw her 3 weeks ago, she looked bad. She was walking in a tight circle and had little balance. Her ear was full of fluid. When she was back yesterday for a recheck, she had on her “happy face” and she was walking normally and acting normal. But just earlier in the day, she wasn’t acting normal enough for me. She ran from me and hid under my bed. But maybe that was because she knew I was going to put those awful drops in her ear. Well, there is no more sign of infection in the ear so she doesn’t have to go back to the vet. But this has happened before, where she gets better and then a couple weeks later, she’s bad again. So the vet said to stop the drops for now and if she starts getting bad again, start the drops again (I have plenty of drops left since I’ve gotten 3 bottles of them over the many vet visits we’ve made) and then call for a visit if I need more drops or if the drops don’t make her better again. I need to keep cleaning her ears often. She hates me for it, but it does seem to make her feel better. Perhaps I don’t see her 100% “normal” yet because maybe she’s older than I thought. I have no way of finding out her exact age. Maybe she’s just slowing down due to age. Or maybe it was just too hot for her a few days ago – that day when the temperature hit 96° and she was sluggish. Whatever it is – the vet was very pleased and to use his exact word “shocked” at her recovery. Life is good – so far.
I know this is a comic strip and i over think it but a) Annie is just a little girl and should not be out after dark anyway, b) how would she pay the bill, c) how do the cats know the power is about to be turned off. Did they get a shut-off notice?
While I don’t like Chesney using Annie as a scapegoat, I’ve got to give him credit for coming up with words like klunging and splunging. On another note, saw five rabbits while out walking today.

Chesney won’t be able to watch his favorite shows, like Doctor Meow, and Orange is the new Black.

Typical of Chesney to blame everything on Annie!

The kitties, not our sweet little girl Annie, live at the warehouse, so maybe the orange cat who has put himself in charge should be paying the bills.
