I’m not sure the storm has passed. Elvis’s face looks like the wind field graphics used by the National Hurricane Center: Hurricane force winds in dark brown at the center, tropical storm force winds in orange on the perimeter.
I’d like to see the live action Elvis in full puff mode, see how it compares to comic Elvis. I assume the live action one goes into puff mode fairly often, since his comic rendering seems to puff out every other day.
O.T.: Yesterday, I saw a wonderful movie for animal lovers: The Art of Racing in the Rain. It’s about a dog, no cats but still, it’s his point of view. Warning, take a box of kleenix if you go. I mean, it opens with him elderly and ill and then he tells his life story which is the movie. Wonderful ending, by the way.
OT: quick updates. not sure if i mentioned the Retina specialist suggested surgery for the edema in my macula. anyway, i stewed about it for a couple of weeks, and decided to have it done Sept 19th. I’ll be out of work about a week. He said the better my eye is going into surgery, the better the sight will be after surgery. On a more important note, the dying of my hair lavender did not come out as well as i had hoped, it’s mostly gray/silver with splotches of lavender. so, that was the last dye job for me, unless I need to look for another job, then it will back to brown.
I bring Poofy Elvis, mystery orange cat, and all of you greetings from Ohio! The Woman and I arrived safely and we are now waiting on The Sister-In-Law to go have dinner. After which I will promptly fall asleep after having woken up at 5:30 AM

Well, I always said Poofy Elvis looked like a sunflower! I guess Burt agrees. :D

I would take that graphic as a compliment. Elvis is as important as the sun, and his sunny nature sheds light and cheer all around.
But the monster cat is still lurking in the basement. Doom threatens.

That is one of the best graphics I’ve ever seen!

Showing “Our IX Lives” is the cat broadcasting equivalent of playing classical music during an emergency or disaster.

The thunderstorm may be over but the Elvis-storm has just begun. Poor Elvis really needs a good nap…maybe even in the baby sling.

Do cats really poof in the face? I’ve only seen their tails poof. Just asking.

What about the strange cat that was spotted in the basement??

And now a little Peter, Paul, and Mary
Elvis, the grumpy meezer
Lived by a hill
A frolicked with his two cat friends
And broadcast the news at will!
The Woman and her family
Loved that Elvis so,
And we all know he loved them back
But would never let it show.
…….
(chorus) Oh, Elvis, the grumpy meezer
Lived by a hill
A frolicked with his two cat friends
And broadcast the news at will!
…….
On night a storm came through there
With thunder, wind and rain
Elvis bravely stood on guard
For the family once again!
Suddenly all the light dimmed
Thunder crashed and boomed
Could it mean it was end?
Was the Family all doomed?
(chorus)
Storms are only passing
But sometimes grumps may hurt
Elvis showed his displeasure
To his good friend Burt
Don’t anger the AV cat
They do their best, we know
They do know how to get you back,
And really let it show!
(chorus)
