Bacon-and-eggs jubilee? A jubilee usually denotes the 10th, 25th, 35th, 40th, 50th, 60th, or 70th anniversary of an event. Is he celebrating the anniversary of the last time he cooked bacon and eggs??
Our younger daughter makes THE best scrambled eggs; when we ask her what she wants to do for her birthday, she always says that she wants to make her scrambled eggs with bacon or sausage & hash browns for us for dinner…and there’s no changing her mind.
I used to be a good cook, but my daughter moved back home and took over the kitchen (THANK YOU, KID!!). Now when I try to cook, I find it hard to keep my mind on the task and wind up burning stuff, or forgetting to turn off the stove (could be that I am just getting old and forgetful). Have lost a very good spatula/pancake turner that had a plastic handle. Left it in the skillet hanging over the edge and the heat still on. Very sad. And, of course, it was my daughter’s favorite and we can’t find another like it! I was so angry with myself. It was a stupid mistake.

Looks like his indoor cooking skills are just like his outdoor cooking skills. Everything goes up in flames.

Cook the bacon first, then reduce the heat by half to do the eggs. They never burn and have better flavor due to the bacon fat.

Cook the eggs first in butter if the bacon has a sugar cure. Eggs stick to the sugar residue in the skillet.

I’m assuming this is like Cherries Jubilee and gets flambéed, but he should wait and do it tableside.

Hard yolks are better. I hate runny eggs.

So that’s why Andy usually does the cooking.
