No wonder they’re terrified! The only clown I EVER liked was Red Skelton. (Oh and Benny Hill when he did his skits.) All the other ones give me the creeps!

When did clowns get such a macabre reputation? Was it the Gacy murders? When I was a kid nobody ever said a word against the venerable clown, and now their place in culture appears to have undergone a drastic shift. Bozo, R.I.P.

They do make good evil villains, though.

We should find where the person who invented the jack-in-the-box is buried so we can desecrate his/her grave. I’m sure some little kids aren’t scared when the top pops, but most tots I know let out a wale the first time they’re exposed to that sadistic toy.

I always grew up with clowns as being very funny, too. Whatever happened?!

That clown really took off fast. Look at all the cloud vapor it left behind.
