Just a update on my rescue kitty Midnight is doing 100% better she finally has enough weight on her she is not hiding anymore and she is trying to get along with her new family. Still some hissing but she is 100% better than the 1/2 starved scared cat she was.

I hate to say it, but Spruce Green just isn’t your color, Lupin…

People who leave open paint cans and roller pans with Lupin in the house are inviting disaster! Lupin, Puck can’t help you here. You’re going to have to put yourself at the mercy of the people!

People shouldn’t leave open paint cans around, EVER.

It could have been worse. What if Lupin had also got into some fully catfeinated cat coffee and had turned the ceiling into a floor.

It is 6 am here. Still dark. Normally asleep with hubby and 3cats on bed, all 4 snoring. Hubby is still here, out cold, but cats are not even in the rooom. I woke up so sweaty ( I mean g!owing so much) that I had to blow dry my hair and change nightie and underwear. Threw out 2 wet pillows and kept one that’s partly dry. Can’t change wet sheets because hubby is bigger than me and oblivious. Why the heck is my bed dripping wet? Rule out bedwetting. ceiling/ roof brand new. No flood. In fact no rain. Years past surgical menopause. 50 degrees outside and a/c turned off with cool temps. Cats not at fault nor hubby. I soaked it. But why!!??? I mean I just physically wrung water out of my nightgown. Sleeping now On bed with beach towel under me..

UPDATE: I slept well again last night. My finger doesn’t hurt much. I see the hand specialist again on Mon day. I’m hoping for a good report. Have a great weekend my friends.

On the home front, the doctor is going to run a lot more tests on Paul because his blood count is waaaaay off. Needless to say, I am worried sick. We go back to the doctor in three weeks for the results. He is also going to be referred to a speech specialist to help with his swallowing so he will be more willing to eat (I hope). He is reluctantly wearing his teeth, saying his gums still hurt; he got no sympathy from me, considering what I went through with my dentures last year.

Off-topic, but apropos of earlier in the week, I have a single pint of freshly-made apple sauce cooling in the refrigerator and cinnamon-sugar apple peels drying in the dehydrator … I thought those might add a nice flavor to a cup of hot tea. Now, I need more apples, but I am content with my morning.

Congrats on Midnight! I’m so glad to hear she is settling in. Eat up,kitty and you’ll soon be back to being the #2 most beautiful black panther cat in the universe! My Layla, of course, being #1 most beautiful.

Acrylic, latex, and acrylic-latex paints are less toxic than hydrocarbon-solvent paints, but they are NOT non-toxic if consumed or left on the skin!

Bath time, Lupin. Not “Hey Puck, clean my paws for me please!” Time for the man or woman to put you in the sink and use a little pet shampoo to get you clean. Ask them to use some Green Apple scented pet shampoo.
