So nice they are making decisions for Tif. Hopefully she is working on a solution and will get along without other people deciding what is best for her.

i was waiting for Les to say something and i was right too. i agree it’s a bad idea for them to have her live with them, and besides all Les would do is try and get into her pants anyways. and i don’t think Tiffany is that stupid to even give Les that time of day anyways.

Oh no!! We hit Saturday and Bets has not told us her plan for Tiffany’s living arrangements yet. There is a danger we might not find out what she is planning for months!!

Surprising to see Bets suddenly announce that Tiffany doesn’t need ‘handouts’. I thought Bets was supposed to be the compassionate and logical one here. Guess I was wrong. Oh, well. Not the first time, won’t be the last…

Bets should Now go and contact Tiffany and sell her plan.

As for the lads, they should rest up and SAVE their strength. They’ll NEED it when it comes time to move Tiffany’s furniture into her new place. ;)

What no breakfast at tiffany’s for les? aww such a shame. Yes the best bet would be for bets to pitch the idea to Tiff. As Les will sound like a con artist trying to convince her to live with him. And Gunther will spend most of the time sputtering out sentence fragment trying to sound analytical.

Bets still thinks Tiffany did well on her exam and is starting to get a grip on life. That said – I don’t really know where this is going.

The best thing these friends could do for Tiffany is to assure her that they know she can take care of herself, that she has all the skills to be an adult. That is the truth and it would give her more confidence in herself.

“She needs business skills, not a handout from us.”That comment could apply to 50% of America.

Best is too exaggerated. In situations like this it’s a good thing to help. But probably Tiffany’s pride would be damaged.

Do you think there might be something more to this proposed living arrangement?

Seems to me, between 50% and zero, there’s room for negotiation.

OK Bets. You say she needs business skills, not charity. So are you suggesting the School of Hard Knocks. Well Tiff’s been enrolled there for quite a while! What she needs is a business mentor.

Gunther doesn’t see any options beyond debt forgiveness. Les is relieved is relieved that debt forgiveness has been taken off the table.

These three are totally useless so far.

Hopefully GnK have Tiff off devising her own plan over the weekend and, again, hopefully it is one that works for her.

One disturbing thing is slowly manifesting itself. October 2018, was the “two dates in one night” thing where “folks” bashed Gunther. October 2019 was the month where “Tiffany’s in trouble” and “folks” once again bashed Gunther.

Looks like from now on, October will Officially be known as “Bash Gunther Month.” :(

Les is Les, and I still will defend him as a work in progress. He split from mom, and he is with Mr, Goodie Two Shoes, Gun(ther) who is the son of the redoubtable Irma, wife of the estimable, and mysterious (big) Al Grey, all in Luannverse, which is basically a good place, with good, if loopy characters. He is the 21st Century TJ and if things follow he will gradually smooth those rough edges, but not too much please. As long as he is not a bully he is cool with me, and the rest of us need a guy to troll on. Now on the Saturday panel, I think I can predict with a fair amount of certainty that Bets will come up with a solution, that she will convince Tiffany to go for, and I hope it includes her as a roommate. Which if that happens may bring in a new character. Or alternatively she will convince Tiffany to bunk with Bernice and Dez; I am sure there will be a new arrangement, but as some point out, lets get Tiffany to agree. Actually what Bets is suggesting is as big a change for Tiffany as it is for Les to become Mr. Somewhat Goodie One Shoe, she has to become an independent, realistic, business woman, and an even more attractive woman to boot. I am rooting for her

I totally agree. I mean, Gun and Les built a home for themselves and Betts is working nights to pay for her own college. You only make it due to your skills, no help for anyone ever.

This arc seems to have a bow tied onto it, with today’s strip. Of course, it’s just a temporary bow. Maybe it’s more like shipping tape, to be cut open when it arrives at an intersection with another arc, like the younger De Groots getting pregnant, Pru moving out to make way for a nursery, and other such possibilites that I have mentioned previously.

Maybe we are due for the demise of Jonah, concurrent with a De Groot pregnancy. The young couple has already been house-shopping, so the seed has been planted for such an arc. That would serve to vacate the Horner cottage that they presently live in, leaving it open for all sorts of residential pairings among the other characters.

I like something that Tyge said earlier. And with that, I will wax a little political for now.

His comment had to do with two different sets of business skills: Benevolence vs. Ruthlessness.

Methinks a wedge between Republicans and Democrats (in normal times, and these are hardly normal times) is that business can go either way – but usually not both.

Democrats get upset when they see business get “ruthless” while Republicans get upset when they see regulations trying to push back from “ruthless” back to “benevolent.”

That’s when we get called “socialists” – which is truly strange because no one in our camp talks about seizing the means of production away from capitalists, just trying to make sure that the rest of our “boats float,” not just theirs…

Just food for thought, not calling anyone names, looking for a way that two sides might be able to get together and work things out someday.

Is the Kafe closed as Les isn’t working? Bets and Gunth ‘s share of sales seems over, except for the last batch. Wonder if Tiff has furniture to sell next. Thinking Tiff needs to renegotiate Les’s percentage. She works for it.There may be housing suggestions for Tiff at the KK from Ox, Pru and others. For Bets to tutor Tiff, Tiff needs to admit she needs help in economics.

Wasn’t Bets the one who convinced Gunther to ask for 50% of the Ebay profits? She’s not exactly a disinterested party in talking him into keeping his/their cut.

She should have Les’ child. Get child support. Have Gunthers’ child and get more child support. Then go on welfare she could even call it corporate welfare if she wants a business model. There financial crisis solved.

Well, Bets, allowing Tiff to keep the money she’s rightfully earned is NOT a “handout.”

This story is getting weaker than Kool-Aid.

First on the agenda…castrate Les.

Just don’t let her use Awful Annie as a Role Model.

And thank goodness Bets stopped dead any suggestion of Tiff rooming with these boys!
