I opened a fortune cookie once and there was nothing in it. I’ve also opened one that said I have no fortune. I’ve chosen to take it to mean that I get to decide my life for myself instead of the fatalist alternative.

I have thrown away hundreds if not thousands of “fortunes” in my lifetime. And I am not a fund manager. :)

Perhaps if managers of hedge funds were pruned more often, they couldn’t take those fanciful flights with investors’ money.
