Captain Victorious: I have suffered. I have struggled. I have been wounded and denied... there were times when I thought the pain alone would s top me in my tracks, but still I forged ahead... and I have emerged victorious. For that is my will, my desire, my destiny!! Ralston: *sigh* Can't you just say 'Yahtzee' like a normal person? Captain Victorious: hee hee!

Every time I get a Yahtzee I get a similar thrill. But I can usually avoid the feelings of suffering, struggling, and being wounded and denied when I end up with four 2s and a 5 (And I’ve already filled in the 2’s column.)

I had no idea Cap could be so verbose. Usually his vocabulary can’t handle the long words.

Early in our marriage, times were …tighter. We weren’t broke, but there wasn’t a lot of “going out” money, so we played a LOT of Yahtzee. Our neighbor, a close friend of my wife’s family, introduced us to Triple Yahtzee. First column single score, second, double score, third, triple score. The only specific rule was that Yahtzee’s had to progress from single column to the triple column, and bonus Yahtzee’s had to be applied evenly across the columns. Needless to say, if one of your opponents rolled 3 (or more!) Yahtzee’s in a game, the rest of us were screwed, lol.
One night the 3 of us were playing, and my wife rolled her 4th Yahtzee, and made a sound in the back of here throat that I have only ever heard her make in an …intimate… situation. Suzy (the friend) and I looked at each other and about died laughing. I still tease my wife about it 30 years later.

Not when it’s his third Yathzee.
Not sure I’ve ever made a Yathzee, not even when playing on the computer. Did play a few years ago with my folks. Mom actually managed to get three Yathzees in a single game, the first time any of us had seen anyone score even one bonus Yathzee, let alone more than one. Just managing Yathzee is something for congratulations in my family (and it’s a lot more fun with one of the holiday editions, I’ve got both Halloween and Christmas Yathzes which replace the pips on the dice with images relating to the holiday so five candy canes is more fun than five fives), but bonus yathzees is a miracle.
