A couple of lasting impressions from my youth: “I’m gonna get your goat” and “I’m gonna get your good eye.” I guess it happened because I don’t have either one now…
Shepherds have goats in their herd because goats quickly learn to come when called. Sheep, because of their “flocking” instinct, will follow. Makes them easier to control. (Or so my grandfather told me when I was young.)
