Uh-oh. Gutter’s eyebrow has gone from quizzical in panel one to really skeptical in panel three. Things aren’t looking good for our intrepid duo in their raccoon disguises.
Congratulations to all who predicted Beatrix would show up! I didn’t see this coming! And now, it’s Saturday. We have to wait ’til Monday for the next installment.
When this adventure started in October, I thought it would be another spooky supernatural one and end on Hallowe’en, like last year. Now, I’m thinking this thread will continue in November and end with Goldie inside on Thanksgiving.
As much as I LOVE this story line, it feels like it’s only just started to get into gear … I can’t see how Georgia is going to wrap this all up by Halloween, which would be fine with me! Maybe the adventure will crossover into November and happy endings will come with a big Thanksgiving celebration?
Heard an absolutely terrifying story on NPR today about a rabid raccoon biting a woman and having to be shot 5 times before it let go and died! She experienced all of the worst type events in trying to access needed health care within the 72 hours after which you could die! O MY Cat! These raccoons seem angry but hopefully not rabid! Anyone who spends time in the woods should know what to do if bitten by a rabid animal! Beatrix, Tommy, and the whole BNC ontourage, be safe out there!
Beatrix isn’t a medical doctor, she’s got a PhD in topology, with a specialty in geometric folding. Cats have a natural advantage in studying the mathematics of shapes, strings, and knots.

Beatrix did tweet the other day that Tommy needed backup. Also, the aluminum foil in the TV antenna is an awesome detail.

Had to google ‘ghillie suit’. Time to talk some trash!♥

And now the boys shift into full-on Parental Panic … At least Lupin isn’t sulking anymore!
Strob Premium Member about 5 years ago
Same here (“camouflage suit”). I also had to look up BRB (Be right back), duh. So, “Caw”. Does that imply it’s a crow and not a raven?
GreasyOldTam about 5 years ago
“Made a ghillie suit out of trash.” Sophie will be so proud.
DennisinSeattle about 5 years ago
Tommy was already too joyous to pass as a racoon. Beatrix, you have just added to the problem. You do not even have any threatening armor!
Strob Premium Member about 5 years ago
Making the suit out of garbage sounds like something Sophie would have done.

Beatrix, aka “Kitty Howser, M.D.”

I…actually did not recognize Beatrix until I saw the second panel…
That’s a good disguise, girl!

A ghillie suit often has loops and slits to allow the addition of branches to make it more realistic. “I’m just another bush.”

Pucky doing his methodical thing in panel two. One of the boys needs to stay grounded. Beatrix shocking all — except Pucky because he’s “grounded.”

It looks like Pom-Pom is whispering something out the side of his mouth … and is Dr. Crumples making a ‘uh-oh’ face?

Love Beatrix’ glasses mask. Not really obvious is it?

Talking trash? But.. But… This is a family friendly strip on a family friendly website! All you can talk is grawlixes!

So, it looks like Beatrix made her outfit from those balls of paper she was tossing in the waste basket a few days ago. (10/19) Resourceful girl!

Beatrix is such a brave kitten.

The reception in the CN breakroom must not be very good since they Boys have to use crumpled tin foil on the TV antennae.

Lupin’s switched from sulking to exclamation pointing.

Hmmm, does anyone else notice that Thimblefists and the Trash Panda Queen look alike when they’re mad?
cat19632001 about 5 years ago
On noes! Beatrix told the birds her business. What if the crow or the chickadees have their twitter accounts pulled up and see her message??
tatempleman about 5 years ago
Beatrix and Tommy are about as subtle as the Marx Brothers… but they just might pull it off!

I don’t understand these raccoon strips at all. What the heck is a “ghillie suit”???? I have been totally confused all week.

OMC!!! Beatrix!! Go confuse those raccoons and reorganize them to within an inch of their furry lives!

Trash Panda Queen toe beans on her angrily curled up hind paws.

Beatrix better keep her polydactyl paws hidden or her cover will be blown.

IF, to save them all, the CN boys get dressed and involved? … Then, it COULD become:
