John does not respect Sesame Street? What? I loved Sesame Street growing up and frankly some of their more recent parody videos are very entertaining especially for adults who get all the jokes.
As far as I can remember having lived in Clallam County, Washington — which is almost near Canada — in early childhood, there was a Canadian version of “Sesame Street”: according to Wikipedia it was called “Sesame Park.”
From about 3rd grade through 12th grade graduation I was awarded the “Character Building” opportunity of arising at 05:30 and getting the walk and drive cleared so that my father could leave for work and I could then start my walk to school.
Fortunate that I had 5 older siblings…3 of them brothers. Most of the shoveling that needed to be done was by them. (As we all got older & they started leaving home, I DID have to do a shift…at least until my little brother was big enough. I didn’t mind, tho…except in 1978.)
My father and I had an understanding. Once my favorite cartoon were over I would get things done. Often I would do some of it when cartoons I only kind of liked were on as well. Too bad I never did anything with the love for animation I have.
I shoveled in the winter, many, many sidewalks for 50 cents a house. In the summer, I mowed lawns for $1. For my 9 to 12 year old female self, I was rich, trim, and happy! : )

John, leave Michael alone. He’s watching “Sesame Street” in memory of Carroll “Big Bird” Spinney. :/

Watching TV is mind-numbing, allows you to daydream, stare at nothing. Just go and keep busy. Shoveling snow will do it.

R.I.P., Caroll Spinney.

By shoveling Micheal, you need to shovel your way to Sesame street.

My Dad had a store he had to get to regardless of weather. So not shoveling was never an option.

It’s the walks, Michael, be thankful it’s not the driveway.

This is … fortuitous timing, for sure… considering the man who played Big Bird (and voiced Oscar) died.RIP Carroll Spinney.

Thankfully it doesn’t snow in Hawaii. It’s a blessing and a curse.

I’m afraid Michael, the show is above your intellect.

Michael is the most annoying child. At least John said “please.” As I recall, I just got told to go shovel.
